Experience
I have over 20 years΄ experience in personal development, leadership, life and career coaching, working with individuals in corporate, business and nonprofit settings.
Focus
My deep desire is to help my clients recognize their own positive characteristics so that they can live with joy and balance in their lives. I find that Highlands helps people see past the limitations they perceive about themselves, and even past the discouragement that sometimes comes from others. Most people are far greater than they have been led to believe they are. I believe that there can be happiness in your life΄s work. I believe that a good job is one where time seems to fly by. I believe that the key characteristic of leadership is found in the emotional commitment and trust gained from others, rather than from mere management position or status within an organization.
Strengths
"Dr. Mau is approachable and quick to put clients at ease. A man of varied interests, extensive training, and a solid background in individual assessment, he is quite professional while being friendly and welcoming. I would characterize our time together as conversational, and I left his office with a clear understanding he was interested in me as a person." Michael H. Miller, Ph.D.

Statements & Testimonials
"For some time before I completed the Highlands Ability Battery I felt I was more interested in the creation and establishment of processes or structures than I was in running or maintaining them. In a very powerful way, Highlands affirmed this belief. In addition, other things I felt I knew about myself were confirmed and validated from perspectives I had not considered. I knew I could discriminate between sounds and I found through Highlands that my pitch discrimination was very high. Likewise, my appreciation for music was validated by my score on rhythm memory.
"I have begun to move maintenance and operational tasks to my subordinates so that I can take advantage of my preferences for projects that have a definite beginning and ending. Once a new process or operation is put into place, I pass it on so that I can devote my attention to the next opportunity to improve existing processes or events." Michael H. Miller, Ph.D.
