Certified Highlands Affiliate
Experience
I have been involved in oceanographic scientific research and teaching since 1989 and in 2008 decided to become a Certified Highlands Affiliate. This test changed my life and I would love to empower you to change yours. I enjoy working with clients who want to learn more about themselves and how to channel this incredible insight into making a contribution that is right for them for the planet.
Focus
My focus is on educational counseling. Where are you going to college? What are you going to study? How do you decide what road to take? For students, I can help you be more focused, more energized, more confident and more able to benefit fully from what college life has to offer? I tailor my conference with you to reflect your specific aptitudes and personality and work with you to develop and chart your own special course in trying to decide which college is right for you or what to classes to take and what major to focus on.
Strengths
As a former beloved university chemistry professor, I have a unique perspective in understanding college student s needs and can help you navigate to find your own pathway. I can interpret your results of the Highlands Ability Battery in the context of choosing the right undergraduate or graduate school and ultimately career path and one that will lead to happiness and fulfillment.
Clients
My clients include High School students, trying to decide if going to college is right for them, or if so, which one, big or small, liberal arts or more technical? My clients include students trying to make the most of their college years, trying to figure out what to major in, what kinds of classes to take, how best to study. My clients also include post-graduate students and others who are just plain stuck in their lives, trying to figure out what to do with their lives and how best to make their contribution while on this planet.
I am available to work in person with those on the central coast of California or by phone (or Skype) with clients elsewhere.
